Slovakia is ready to make changes in order to help the enviorment, however we have serious air polution problems and are working hard to fix. As one of the newer countries in the EU we do not have some of the means that other countries do in order to fix our problems, thereofre we would greatly aprove of a constitution in which aid is provided to those countries who are unable to improve on their own.
Bulgaria agrees with Slovakia’s sentiment, as we are also a developing nation. Though we care deeply about the environment, we are not fully prepared to meet these strict requirements if we hope to retain any sort of industry we have developed thus far. However, we do not ask for money from the European Union; we ask for more time. Bulgaria is enthusiastic in helping the protection of the environment, though we believe we will be able to help even more when we are more functional and economically powerful as a nation.
Belgium believes that if a country wishes for independance, it must have more than one thing, and that is to already have an independant and successful economy and a feasable workable military plan. Kosovo is a country that is small, and if it can not be done without EU support than it should not be done at all, for the safety and security of both nations. It is possible to support the nation now, but it is not possible to be the nation. The EU should not be the one freeing Kosovo, but rather it must be done by its own power.
Currently Portugal is remaining neutral on the matter of Kosovo’s independence. If we see it is in the best interest of our nation then we will recognize their independence. For now we are waiting to see the what will happen in the region.
Ireland fully understands Belgiums beliefs, and would like to say that Ireland also feels that way. It should not be the EU’s responsibility but Kosovo’s.
