I just wanted to say that I am really pumped for BMUN, and I am looking very forward to meeting all the chairs and delegates in person.
I love the serious side of MUN.
Getting down to business and debating the topics is amazing, but I am really into the lighter side of things as well.
I hope committee will be positive, interesting, serious when it needs to be, and hilariously funny when it is appropriate.
Keep it chill, cheers, and see you all this weekend.

  2. Torie Kennedy (Slovakia) Says:

Slovakia believes that it is very critical that we take definite means in securing the international borders and begin ways in finding existing bombs that have been ” lost” in the presence of the break up of a country. For example Burma-Myanmar and the Slovak Republic. We also believe it would be essential to use existing security enforcements through interpol ( international police.

  3. Torie Kennedy( Slovakia) Says:

As of yet we have not established and international database within Middle Eastern regions. Slovakia believes this would be essential in creating bridge to watch and secure nuclear activity within the region.

  4. Alex Adler (United States) Says:

We would like to suggest a possible ordering of the topics for debate. Although the NWFZ is a great, interesting topic, we feel that it is such a polarized, policy oriented topic that little would be accomplished and if such a topic would go first it would result in undiplomatic activity that might carry over to the next topic. Also, nuclear terrorism is a much more dynamic, solution oriented topic, and has a multitude of issues to be addressed. We feel that a lot of different solutions will be proposed for this topic, and that it will take much more time than NWFZ, making it a viable choice for the first topic. Once again, this is merely a suggestion; we are only trying to possibly request the order of the topics.

    Looking forward to this weekend,
    United States

  5. Julie Pfeffer (New Zealand) Says:

In nothing more than a friendly response to the United States, New Zealand would like to advocate for the opposite, and discuss the establishment of a NWFZ. A nuclear free zone is the ultimate goal of any peace negotiations, and has yet to be realized on a global stage. Indeed, terrorism is a giant threat to the current world, but establishing a nuclear free zone and disarming current missiles that remain on high alert would stop terrorists from accessing dangerous materials, therefore halting terrorism in its tracks.

These topics go hand in hand, and we are confident that the choice of either one will provoke thoughtful consideration and possibly a change in policy. New Zealand will be delighted to be a part of this conference and cannot wait to delve into these issues. See you Friday!

  6. Oscar Li (Belgium) Says:

Belgium strongly advocates New Zealand’s solid plan for the meeting. As the establishment of a NWFZ is indeed an priority and should have a much more profound effect on nuclear terrorism if discussed first.

Belgium suggests that the topic of NWFZ going first would be more effective and have a more profound effect on the whole discussion as a whole.

Belgium also wishes to salute our fellow delegates. And will be looking forward to seeing them Friday :)
